Elder Barbara Brant of the Turtle Clan, Mohawk Nation from Tyendinaga, will be presenting from the Oral Tradition of the Mohawk Peoples and the Iroquois Confederacy to share about the lineage of disconnectedness; the responsibilities of being earth custodians, care givers and ecological stewards; and how consciousness is an everlasting endeavor and a sacred spiritual walk with the Source of all things. Barbara will explain how the Oral Tradition provides a means for connecting with the universe and developing consciousness to foster continuance of the very important works of communities and living a sacred life of Peace with all relations.<\/p>\n

The times of living a way of Life are indeed, among other things, consistent with a sacred way of being. Barbara will share time with us to represent the many ancestral voices that have been given to her, to carry on the very important works of communities and a sacred life. The oral tradition is a way of coding the information to be held, carried, and shared, verbally. This history is bridged into the present and future. This is how the Indigenous Peoples have been able to maintain, sustain, and preserve our identity for future generations, and at times during much oppression.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
